“Historic l pottery studio Foucard-Jourdan, from the renowned ceramic town of Vallauris, France, is known for producing distinctive, often large, handcrafted earthenware with vibrant streaked glazes (greens, yellows, browns) in mid-20th-century styles, commonly found as rustic centerpiece bowls, tian pots, and vases, reflecting Provençal craftsmanship.

The name represents a family association in the pottery industry that dates back to 1630. Specifically, the "Foucard" family had an established presence in Vallauris for centuries. In the mid-20th century, the business saw two sons each create their own factories, associating their names with those of their wives, resulting in a number of combined names, including Foucard-Jourdan.”
